This is Kendrick Lamar’s most underrated (and possibly best) song. His social insight and commentary is at its best, as is his lyricism. J. Cole outshines himself on the production with a simple flute-and-drum based beat. The video is pretty intense, too. Kendrick raps in some warehouse or something, and it cuts between that and politically-charged news clips. And some good old-fashioned self-immolation. Everybody put three fingers in the air.
