Siouxsie & the Banshees – The Last Beat of my Heart

Siouxsie and the Banshees are a very cool English band who were big in the late ’70s and through the ’80s. They straddled the line of punk, new wave, and pop, and influenced a great number of current acts (The Weeknd sampled them on “House of Balloons/Glass Table Girls.”) “The Last Beat of my Heart” is a single from their 1988 album Peepshow, and is a nice slow new-wave-influenced pop song. The video is also dope, a very minimalist affair centered on a slow zoom out from Siouxsie looking forlornly out a window as she sings. Definitely a quality endeavor.
