Santana – Soul Sacrifice (Live at Woodstock)

You should know about Santana, if you don’t. One of, if not the first, acts to blend latin music with rock, and certainly the first to do it this well, their first few albums are amazing. Carlos Santana has continued playing under the Santana name, but no subsequent iteration of the group has been this good. This video is exactly what every group should strive for when performing live. It’s probably the best recorded live rock performance ever. Video is taken from the documentary¬†Woodstock, a 3-hour film that’s very much worth seeing. Mike Shrieve is on the drums here, absolutely murdering it, and was 19 when this was recorded.
